Our History
In 2001 our family moved to this farm to save on boarding costs for multiple personal horses, one who had suffered a traumatic injury. We’d always had a dream to own a boarding, training and lesson facility in West Knoxville. Over the next several years we grew at a steady pace and acquired boarders while our head trainer, Krystle Bridges, finished high school and college. The family farm underwent the initial expansion at our old facility in 2012 and we opened our brand new facility in March 2014.
Sonny Brooke Stables, named after our beloved one-eyed horse, Sonny, is located about 10 minutes from Turkey Creek, in the heart of West Knoxville. We are family owned and operated specializing in hunters, jumpers, and equitation while offering full care boarding and riding lessons from beginner to advanced. Our goal is to treat all of our clients as part of the Sonny Brooke family, providing a constructive environment for horsemen and women to learn and grow in all areas of their lives, stretching and challenging them through the sport of horseback riding.
Mission Statement
Sonny Brooke Stables offers competitive equestrian leadership training, as well as a variety of boarding and breeding options. We offer beginner to advance courses, in a positive environment, including both hunter and jumper foundations for success in both A and AA competition; IEA competition training; and ETHJA competition groundwork. Krystle’s love for horsemanship began early, and she finds great pride in having turned her family farm into an elite facility for both boarding and breeding and a loving atmosphere her students consider home.
Vision Statement
To develop a competitive equestrian school for committed riders of all levels. Top rated boarding, breeding, and facilities in an elite atmosphere with a kindred love for sportsmanship.
