More Than Riding Lessons

At Sonny Brooke Stables, we believe great riders are built both in and out of the saddle.

Our Academy is a comprehensive riding program designed to develop confident, knowledgeable horsemen through a combination of riding instruction, horsemanship education, and a clear path for long-term growth.

Whether your child is sitting on a horse for the very first time or dreaming of competing at the highest levels, our programs provide the structure, coaching, and community to help them reach their goals.

The Sonny Brooke Difference

Academy Pathway

Every rider progresses through our Academy at a pace that matches their experience and goals.

• Wee Academy:  An engaging introduction for our youngest horse lovers.

• Intro to Riding:  Designed for brand-new riders learning the fundamentals of riding and horse safety.

• Foundation Academy:  Private instruction that builds confidence, independence, and the skills needed to join a group program.

• Signature Academy:  Our core weekly riding program where riders continue developing both mounted skills and horsemanship while becoming part of our Academy community.

• Partnership Academy:  For riders leasing or owning a horse who are ready for additional responsibility, independence, and saddle time.

• Performance Program:  Our highest level of training for dedicated riders pursuing 2’6″ and above, A-rated competitions, and riding four to five days each week through a customized training plan.

A Year-Round Program

Our Academy operates on a monthly tuition model that provides consistency for both riders and horses.

Instead of paying only for individual lessons, Academy families become part of a structured educational program designed to provide continuous progress throughout the year.

Because horsemanship is an essential part of becoming a great rider, learning continues even when weather prevents riding. Rainy days become valuable opportunities to build knowledge and skills in the barn.

Horses for Every Stage

One of the unique advantages of Sonny Brooke Stables is that riders can continue progressing without needing to own a horse immediately.

Our carefully selected school horses and ponies help riders develop confidence and skills while they determine their long-term goals.

As riders advance, many choose to transition into one of our onsite half leases before eventually leasing or purchasing a horse of their own. We have horses available to support riders through each stage of that journey.
